We believe that well managed and designed open spaces are crucial to our well being and ability to interact socially and culturally. Well articulated conservation areas, parks, plazas, common spaces and private gardens are the lifeline to a balanced enjoyable and healthy life. The proper care for ecologically fragile environments, agricultural lands, forests and wetlands is essential for our sustainable survival on this earth. The sensitive management of our natural resources forms a strong thread that affects all our design decisions.
Our approach to designing open spaces is to do it in the most socially culturally and environmentally responsible manner possible. In the choice of plants and materials we favour local sources and native plants.
In designing storm water management facilities we carefully compose ecologically matched plant pallets to facilitate site restorations. In the design of urban open spaces we consider the use of water, shade and street furniture to create memorable plazas, waterfronts and streetscapes. We believe that the open spaces of a region have to be interconnected in order to create a sustainable linkage of living corridors.
We respect cultural elements within any landscape and design open spaces to enhance and integrate these elements into the best designed context possible.
