The McLaren Art Gallery located in Downtown Barrie is a vibrant space that is home to a permanent art collection, and hosts travelling exhibitions as well as special events throughout the year. The landscape design surrounding the main building is fully accessible and is aesthetically inviting. SBA designed the planting beds to highlight different art works and signage encouraging people to enter into the space. A rooftop terrace and garden space, used to hold private and public events was also incorporated into the landscape design. This sunny gathering space is surrounded by an abundance of flowering trees, shrubs and perennials, attracting gallery visitors to lounge and socialize in this cozy hideaway.
