Visual Impact Assessment

Our office was retained by GM BluePlan Engineering Limited to provide landscape architectural and visual impact assessment services for the reconstruction of Inglis Falls Road in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. Our work included the performance of site inspections to determine the visual impact of the road redesign on the landscape and scenic resources of the Niagara Escarpment. The final visual impact assessment report was completed to Niagara Escarpment Commission guidelines and included horizontal line-of-sight cross sections, photographic simulations of mitigation measures and viewshed analyses. Following this report our office also completed a rehabilitative planting plan to reintegrate the project site seamlessly back into the ecological matrix of the Niagara Escarpment.
